Research Grant

ESCP is inviting research grant applications for 2018

ESCP is an international leader in advancing quality and innovation in clinical pharmacy education, practice and research. The ESCP Research Committee leads and supports all research related activities.

We are now inviting members to apply for the 2018 ESCP Research Grant to allow them to undertake research that has the potential to advance clinical pharmacy in Europe.

Who can apply? All applicants must be ESCP members at the time of the application and affiliated with organisations based in Europe. Studies should involve a partnership of at least two European countries. Members of ESCP committees cannot apply for the ESCP Research Grant

What type of projects will be funded? There are no restrictions and all research designs and approaches will be considered. The maximum duration of the project is 24 months, including conducting the research, undertaking the analysis and reporting.

What funds are available? Ten thousand Euros will be made available to one successful application. If the total provisional budget exceeds 10,000.00 € the applicants have the responsibility of securing the remaining funding. The ESCP Research Grant will only be awarded if the entire funding for the study is secured.

Who will judge the grant applications? Applications will be judged by the Chair of the Research Committee and ESCP Research Committee members. External reviewers may be invited if necessary.

What criteria will be applied to judge the grant applications?  Applications will be judged based on novelty, clarity of content, strengths of the research methods, likelihood of completion of the study, the team of applicants and potential impact on clinical pharmacy and patient care in Europe.

What will be expected following the award? The principal investigator will have to register for the ESCP symposium to receive the award and sign the letter of agreement. Six monthly progress reports are required in addition to the final report and a brief financial report. An oral presentation will be given at the ESCP annual symposium and a brief report required for the ESCP newsletter.
