FESCP Plaque

Based on the nominations received until the dead-line 31 March 2009 (see ESCP News Number 139 and 143), the General Committee (GC) of the ESCP decided on the first six members to be recognized as ESCP Fellows (see photo of the plaque). Fellowship is awarded in recognition of continued excellence in clinical pharmacy practice and/or research, contribution to the advancement of clinical pharmacy, preferably in Europe, and services for ESCP. The following colleagues have been awarded on 4 November 2009 during the opening ceremony at the ESCP symposium in Geneva. The 2009 Fellows (see picture) are:

Dr. Henk Buurma, Director of Stevenshof Pharmacy and SIR Institute, Researcher University of Utrecht, and Director Postgraduate Education of KNMP, Netherlands.

Prof. Dr. Han de Gier, Professor of Pharmaceutical Care, University of Groningen, Netherlands.

Yolande Hanssens, Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator, Hamad General Hospital, Doha , Qatar.

Prof. Dr. Kurt Hersberger, Professor of Pharmaceutical Care, University of Basle and community pharmacy owner, Basle, Switzerland.

Prof. Stephen ('Steve') Hudson, Professor of Pharmaceutical Care, University of Strathclyde, Scotland, United Kingdom.

Moira Kinnear, Head of Pharmacy Education, Research & Development/Lecturer in Clinical Practice NHS Lothian and University of Strathclyde, Scotland, United Kingdom.
