New Editor-in-Chief Announced for International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy

The International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy (IJCP) has announced that Professor Derek Stewart has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief with effect from 1 January this year.

Derek is Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Practice at Qatar University and the Manager of Academic Quality Affairs for the health colleges. Until April 2019, he was Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland where he remains a visiting professor.

Welcome from Derek Stewart, the new ESCP President

I write these words in my first few weeks of being President of ESCP to introduce myself and to wish you a very prosperous 2021. I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland a few decades ago (!!) and studied Pharmacy at Robert Gordon’s Institute of Technology (now Robert Gordon University) following by a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Aberdeen. I then joined academia at Robert Gordon University and completed a part time PhD on patient outcomes, supervised by Professor Janet Krska.

Financial support to attend annual ESCP symposium

ESCP is awarding financial support to attend the 48th Symposium of European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (ESCP) in Ljubljana (Slovenia) from 23-25 October 2019. ESCP actively promotes the education of clinical pharmacists from developing countries. One way of doing this is to make the ESCP Symposium more accessible to pharmacists from these countries by offering financial support.
