×Workshop submission will be open between 15th and 30 March 2021

Workshops are an important component of ESCP Symposia and are usually run twice in each event. In the 2021 virtual Symposium there will be a maximum of 12 different workshops. These should be related to Clinical Pharmacy practice or research and must have an approach that promotes interaction with participants. Preference will be given to workshops linked to the conference theme, which is "mental health". A Workshop time-slot is 1h30 and this year, given the online format, we also request facilitators to include in their submission information on the proposed pedagogical methods and how these ensure interaction with participants.

Workshop submission will be open between 15th and 30 March 2021. Information on workshop selection will be communicated to proposers by the 1st May 2021.

If you would like to run a workshop, please send in your proposal HERE. Proposals should include the following sections:

  • Identification and affiliation of workshop proposers;
  • Background;
  • Target audience;
  • Learning objectives of the workshop;
  • Content and structure, including information on time allocation in relation to structure;
  • Pedagogical methods to be adopted during the workshop to ensure interaction.

In addition, a short CV (maximum 2 pages) should be included for each workshop moderator.

All proposals will be forwarded to the Scientific Committee, that will select workshops according to the following criteria (each ranked from 1-5):

  • Alignment with the conference theme;
  • Content;
  • Structure;
  • Time allocation regarding to structure;
  • Achievability;
  • Pedagogical methods (in particular detailing how online interaction with participants will be ensured).

Traditionally at ESCP participants register onsite. However, this year, we will ask for pre-registration in the workshops offered. We will only run workshops that have a minimum of 8 participants. Participants will be allocated on a first-come first served basis and asked to provide their preferences for 3 workshops, where the third is used as back-up in case the maximum number of 40 participants is reached. Workshop moderators will be informed about the status of registrations two weeks in advance of the symposium.

For your information, the 1st Workshop moderator will receive a free registration to the symposium and a workshop facilitator certificate. Other moderators are not entitled to any reimbursements but still will be awarded with a workshop facilitator certificate.
